Greenwich, CT: Foundation House's Women in Impact Summit
As part of Foundation House’s inaugural Women in Impact: Climate Summit—a day-long gathering of women leaders driving innovation across philanthropy, finance, and climate—LEBEC curated and moderated a featured panel discussion exploring how capital can serve as a force for equity and resilience.
Moderated by Julia Wilkinson, LEBEC’s Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer, the session brought together a cross-sector group of changemakers:
Yoca Arditi-Rocha, Executive Director, The CLEO Institute
Ruby Khan, Strategy Lead, Private Family Office
Kate Landon, Executive Director, Ban-ki Moon Foundation
Georgia Sherwin, Senior Director, Closed Loop Partners
The panel, titled “Women & Resilience: Unlocking Capital for Scaled Solutions,” examined how women are reimagining the role of capital—shifting away from short-term, extractive approaches and toward long-term, community-centered investment strategies.
Panelists shared how they are advancing systems change through climate education, catalytic capital, circular economies, and global policy advocacy. Key themes included:
The urgency of increasing investment in women-led, locally rooted solutions
The power of flexible finance to drive innovation in vulnerable and underserved communities
The importance of integrating equity, climate, and economic resilience into all capital deployment strategies
This session reflected the broader spirit of the summit: bold, solutions-oriented, and grounded in the belief that women are not only leading climate action—but redefining how capital is moved, shared, and scaled.
