London: Nourishing People & Planet: The Climate and Nutrition Nexus - November 2024

In partnership with The Conduit Club, LEBEC hosted an engaging discussion on how our food systems shape both human health and the planet—fueling challenges such as malnutrition, climate change, and inequality. Moderated by Rafia Qureshi, Managing Director at LEBEC, the conversation brought together leaders driving transformative change, including Felix Brooks-Church, Co-founder & CEO of Sanku; Hamzah Sarwar, Global Social Impact & Partnerships Director of Reckitt; Atalanti Moquette, Founder of Giving Women; and Gemma Tumelty, UK Advocacy Director of Eleanor Crook Foundation

Key insights emerged on the urgency of breaking silos between philanthropy, investments, and other financing tools to scale impactful solutions. From catalytic philanthropy to corporate investments and innovative blended finance structures, speakers highlighted the importance of integrating diverse stakeholders and capital strategies to meet climate goals, advance food fortification, and build more inclusive and sustainable global systems.

Following the discussion, guests enjoyed a reception where they unpacked the conversation and made new and fruitful connections with one another.
