Miami: ‘Potential is Waiting’ Panel & Reception with Sentebale
On April 11th, Lebec, together with Sentebale, convened a reception, panel discussion, and intimate dinner to highlight Sentebale’s impactful work supporting youth in southern Africa. Sentebale was co-founded by Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006.
Lebec Founder and CEO Alix Lebec moderated the dynamic conversation with the Duke of Sussex; Dr Sophie Chandauka MBE, Chair of Sentebale and Founder and Chair of Nandi Life Sciences; Hector Mujica, Head of Economic Opportunity for the Americas at Google.org; and Sam Bakhshandehpour, President, CEO, and Board Member of José Andrés Group to discuss how capital can be creatively dispersed to help youth thrive and address critical global challenges – from Miami to Latin America to Africa, which has the youngest and fastest growing population in the world.
The panelists were joined by an intimate group of U.S.-based philanthropists, entrepreneurs, and impact investors who gathered at Zaytinya, a José Andrés Group restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach. Following the dynamic discussion, the group enjoyed a special dinner and exchanged ideas on how to meet the next generation in southern Africa with possibility and action.
The evening was made possible through the generous partnership of José Andrés Group, ROAR AFRICA, Morgan Stanley, Community Capital Management, Impax Asset Management, ClearBridge Investments – A Franklin Templeton Company, and Sage Advisory.
